Crutch Films creates cinematic stories that focus on complex characters who challenge our common perceptions of civilized life. We also relish any opportunity to give the audience the creeps.
The company is owned and operated by award-winning writer/director Jeremy Carr, whom The Hollywood Reporter described as "someone to watch." His feature length psychological thriller Other Madnesses was made with support of The IFP, won ten film festival awards, and was initially distributed by Gravitas Ventures.
Jeremy's previous short films include Nuclear Winter, Portraits of a Nightmare, The Dirtiest Racket In Town, and Ice Cream Ants, which was awarded the Grand Prize at the Boston Underground Film Festival for "Excellence in Wordsmithing."
As a Producer, Editor and Cinematographer, Jeremy has played a vital role in the creation of original content for MEL Films, Sesame Workshop, Comedy Central, NBC Universal, The Sundance Institute, Participant Media, Nickelodeon, Cynthia Wade Productions and AMC. He is a graduate of the film program at Boston University and has been a guest lecturer at The University of Southern California.
